Marriage

So tomorrow is a big day for me and my family. Brother is finally going to tie the knot. :)
So once again it off to the usual routine. Hair, make-up, lights, camera.....action! Oh...the glam of a gay lifestyle, where you try to compete with the world just to find your own little space, obviously decorated with a lovely assortment of colors, shapes and of coarse sizes. A little place neatly arranged for your convenience and comfort. And then you meet "THE ONE". Suddenly sharing becomes an active lifestyle, love a driven force, luck an added advantage and lust suddenly flares up like a wildfire in the Californian rain forests. Passion and excitement becomes the order of the day and once again one finds himself in a moment of pure heavenly bliss. Ah..yes. The joys of being in love. Has true romance lost all meaning? Are we more concerned about having someone at our side rather than realy getting to know someone? Are we afraid of ending up alone and wrinkled? You know what, I say congrats to the ones that still has time for tradition. The ones who is willing to take the step of eternal bond based on the truth and realism of love. I envy them. They are the ones who really know what love is. The really truly happy ones. So good for them. I drink a toast and salute you. And wish you all the best!

Immigration officer fired after putting wife on list of terrorists to stop her flying home

An immigration officer tried to rid himself of his wife by adding her name to a list of terrorist suspects.

He used his access to security databases to include his wife on a watch list of people banned from boarding flights into Britain because their presence in the country is ‘not conducive to the public good’.

As a result the woman was unable for three years to return from Pakistan after travelling to the county to visit family.

Da Vinci's Mona Lisa Model 'Was A Man'

An expert has claimed to have unravelled the mystery behind the world-famous Mona Lisa painting - saying the model was a man and Leonardo da Vinci's lover. Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa

The Mona Lisa, by Leonardo da Vinci, in Paris' Louvre Museum

Artist da Vinci has proved an endless talking point for conspiracy theorists looking for hidden meanings in his works.

The Mona Lisa's real identity remains shrouded in mystery with a silk merchant's wife, Lisa Gheradini, being seen as the most likely model for the painting.

That was until Silvano Vincetti, chairman of the Italian national committee for cultural heritage, made his startling revelation.

President of the Italian National Committee for Historical, Cultural and Environment Heritage, Italian researcher Silvano Vinceti, gestures during a press conference on February 02, 2011 at the foreign press club in Rome.

Italian researcher Silvano Vinceti outlines his findings in Rome

He said the identity of one of the world's most iconic paintings was a young man called Gian Giacomo Caprotti, also known as Salai.

Salai and da Vinci worked together for 25 years and is believed to be the inspiration behind several of the Renaissance artist's works.

Mr Vincetti said the artist and his effeminate apprentice had an "ambiguous" relationship.

The expert drew on several of da Vinci's works, including St John the Baptist and the Angel Incarnate, to highlight the similarities of the nose and mouth to that of the Mona Lisa.

Mr Vincetti said these works show similarities to the Mona Lisa

Mr Vincetti also backed up his claims with forensic evidence.

He said: "Close examination of a high-quality digital copy of the portrait had revealed an L for Leonardo and an S for Salai."

The findings have been refuted by French art historians at the Louvre museum in Paris, where the Mona Lisa is one of the centre's star attractions.

Experts at the Louvre say they checked the painting two times in 2004 and 2009 saying: "No inscriptions, letters or numbers, were discovered during the tests.

FRANCE: Picture taken 05 April 2005 in Paris Louvre Museum of the Portrait of Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci. Vincenti claims that a letter 'S' can been seen in Mona Lisa's left eye, a 'L' in the right eye

Clues to the subject's identity can apparently be found in the Mona Lisa's eyes

"The ageing of the painting on wood has caused a great number of cracks to appear in the paint, which have caused a number of shapes to appear that have often been subject to over-interpretation."

Mr Vincetti, who has never had access to the painting, countered that the experts in Paris were "really blind".

But he offered to come to the museum with his team to date test the paint of the letters to the rest of the canvas.

His invitation has so far not been accepted, so for now the Mona Lisa will no doubt continue to smile enigmatically.

Worried You'll Never Quit Smoking? A Brain Scan Can Tell Whether or Not That's True

Similar to the way an MRI brain scan can determine whether or not you'll be good at video games, it can also tell you how successful you'll be in your attempt to escape the death grip of big tobacco.

Doctors would have patients watch ads about quitting smoking while monitoring the medial frontal lobe of their brain. If there was increased activity in the region during viewing, it indicated a rise in confidence with regard to quitting smoking, which is a good indicator of success in doing so. For those whose brain didn't show increased activity, they can wallow in self-pity over their weakness with a nice cigarette.

Oh Noes!: The Internetz Is Almost Out of IP Addresses

If your grandmother's Facebook account wasn't a tell-tale sign that the internet has come of age, here's another: after this week, the internet will run out of new IPv4 addresses. But don't fret, because we're moving on up to IPv6!

For those unfamiliar with what IP addresses do, they serve as the internet's navigation system in many ways. When you type in a URL/domain name to visit a site, it's attached to an IP address which handles all the dirty work of connecting you to the server the website is stored on. Just like the Wall Street Journal says, this is a lot like the moment when phone companies in the U.S. switched to 10-digit numbers.

The IPv4 addresses theoretically range between 4 and 12 digits, have a size of 32-bits and have 4.3 billion possible address combinations. I'm fairly certain all of you have dealt with IPv4 addresses, which look something like this:

68.127.78.247 (or http://68.127.78.247, when entering them into a browser)

With the change to IPv6, addresses will be 128-bits in size and up to 32 digits long, allowing for 340 trillion trillion trillion unique addresses. When it is finally implemented, it will look something like this:

2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334 (or http://[2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334] in a browser)

And with a whole gang of other notation rules, configuring your router is going to be a bitch in the future. And of course, we'll all have to get new routers!

Thankfully, IPv6 is still in its infancy and is still a few years from being put into use on any sort of widespread level. But for a single day in June, Google, Facebook, Yahoo and a couple of other internet giants will switch over to IPv6-compatible servers to test out the new protocol and find out if there are any major kinks in the system.
